Merry Christmas!

We are so blessed this Christmas to have a wonderful and healthy family! God has given us so much to be thankful for! We had a bit of a scare on Dec. 12th when Luke got a dime lodged in his esophogus. We were admitted in the hopital and Luke was operated on Wednesday morning. The procedure went perfectly and everything was fine afterwards, as we all went home and slept....a lot! God always has a reason for everything...and he showed us during this time that there are so many families that have children who are sick and in the hospital. I can't imagine a life like that...and my heart and prayers are with those families. Thank you God for continuing to show us your awesome power and love!

Our Christmas tree before we came home and took it down...because we were scared Luke was going to eat the lights & glass balls!

In contemporary Christianity there is an essential difference between belief and faith. Our religious beliefs are the visible expression of our faith, our personal commitment to the person of Jesus. However, if the Christian beliefs inherited from our family and passed on to us by our church tradition are not grounded in a shattering, life-changing experience of Jesus as the Christ, then the chasm between our credal statements and our faith-experience widens and our witness is worthless. The gospel will persuade no one unless it has so convicted us that we are transformed by it - B. Manning

- My flesh is weak but my spirit is willing. Jesus thinks I'm beautiful. Knowing Him is eternal life for me. When I die, all I have to take is love.
