Grandma Jude Visits!
Grandma Jude finally meets Luke! We had such a wonderful time playing with Luke....or better yet, seeing Judy trying to get Luke to smile! Oh what a wonderful Grandma he has! Luke was so excited the first night he did NOT want to go to sleep! And just two days didn't seem like long enough! We can't wait to see her again!
Luke is 10 weeks old this week!
The past week Florida had it's last cold spell (hopefully!) and Luke dressed up to take a stroll around the neighborhood. Mommy and Luke had a great time just being able to get out of the house! Luke is our own "doodlebug".....always moving his arms and legs. He is so strong! We can't wait for the weather to warm up so we can take Luke to the beach and play in the waves!

Luke turns 8 weeks this Thursday!
We can't believe it's already been 8 weeks! How time flys! We are so overwhelmed with love for our new little one...I can't imagine life without him now! He is such a blessing to our lives! He just started sleeping in his crib this week! He sleeps all by himself now...and seems to really enjoy his own space (and so does Mommy & Daddy :) He coo's so much that sometimes we think he may spit out a word or too! We love our friends, Auntie Abbie (who gives us tons of yummy food) and everyone who is so wonderful to us! We are so happy to be surrounded by awesome people!

Lukie likes to laugh!
Luke is starting to really smile and laugh a lot! He enjoys the morning time most! We wanted to also thank everyone who has given him all his adorable new clothes! We show some pics with him modeling some :) Oh, and Uncle Kebby....he loves his Australian mobile...especially the Wombat! He started sleeping almost 4-5 hours at night now! Whoa, Mommy and Daddy sure are happy about that! He is growing sooo fast! We are enjoying every minute of it!

Can't sleep?
Luke's first days!
Luke is a very content baby. He rarely cries - as long as he has a full tummy and a dry bottom - life is good! Patrick and I became very good at diapering....and learning to embrace the fact that sleeping just wasn't going to happen like it used to! It was all worth it though! Luke is happy and healthy growing very fast! He gained a lb a week! Weighing 10 lbs at his 2-week checkup! Afterall, he has a lot of growing if he plans to fit into those adorable feet!
Luke Patrick Moran is born!
When we arrived at the birthcenter around noon on Thursday, Jan. 19...I was fully dialated! So glad to hear the news...I was glad all that work was for something! After all those hours of hard labor Luke was finally born at 7:08 p.m. He was a water baby...born in the tub! Patrick caught him and they placed him right on my chest. It was the sweetest moment ever....I kept saying, "Praise God" over and over again! Wow did that feel good - for him to finally come out! It was a miracle only explainable by God! He weighed in at 8 lbs 3 ounces and 21.5 inches long. Daddy's first words were, "Oh my gosh, look at his feet!" He does have big feet....beautiful big feet! After nursing for the first time and having a celebratory meal, we were going home only 3 hours later! We were so glad to go home and relax with our new little one! Here are some pictures of our special day!
Finally Labor begins!!!
January 18, 2006. Kevin Moran (Patrick's brother from Australia) arrives in Gainesville. I am now one week overdue...and about to burst with anticipation. I was suppose to have had the baby by the time Kevin arrived...afterall....he wanted to see a baby...not a pregnant woman! We three go out to watch the Gators basketball game that night ...and I start having contractions! I had been having contractions on and off for the past month ...so Patrick and I didn't get our hopes up. We had a great time watching the game and came home. That night the contractions got worse and worse..and I labored all night....so things were looking positive! The next morning we called the birth center to notify our midwife of my progress. We were instructed to come in as my contractions were now 2 minutes apart!
