More..."Tifmas"

That's the way Luke says "Christmas"!! He gets really excited about seeing the lights and he calls them, Santas!

We took some photos at the historical Thomas Center in Gainesville. There was a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and Luke loved the fountain!!

Dancing!!

p.s. Luke got his first REAL haircut on Monday, December 17. I tried cutting his hair the night before and went a little crazy...well I messed up BIG time...and it's wonderful to know that he liked getting his hair cut! We have an excellent new barber and will be going back to visit her! You can see our "baby" doesn't look like a baby anymore!! He truly is our little man now! .....and no....I'm not ready for #2 anytime soon :) (for those of you who were wondering)

Dudley Farm

We visited the Dudley Farm listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this park demonstrates the evolution of Florida farming from the 1850s to the mid-1940s-through three generations of the Dudley family. An authentic working farm, the homestead consists of eighteen buildings, including the family farmhouse with original furnishings, an 1880s kitchen outbuilding, a general store and post office, and a functional cane syrup complex. The farm features seasonal cane grindings, corn shuckings, and heritage varieties of livestock and plants. Deer, wild turkeys, gopher tortoises, and bluebirds are still seen in the fields!

These pictures are from the annual cane syrup festival.

Welcome to our house for Christmas!

Yeah! It's Christmas time!!! Luke is celebrating with his box of cereal!

I made all the wreaths in the house from grapevines this year...Luke thought it was quite funny trying to steal the scissors out of my pocket while I was making the wreaths. As you can imagine he was a big help!

It sure doesn't feel like Christmas here...still getting into the 80's during the day...and we are still wearing shorts. It's going to be fun watching Luke open gifts this year...he actually understands this year!!

For those of you that we will not get to see this Christmas...we want to send you a warm hug and kiss. Know that you are in our hearts! We love you very much and are so happy you are a big part of our lives. May God truly shine His light upon you this season and may you feel the mighty presence of peace in your lives this coming new year!

Moran's
In contemporary Christianity there is an essential difference between belief and faith. Our religious beliefs are the visible expression of our faith, our personal commitment to the person of Jesus. However, if the Christian beliefs inherited from our family and passed on to us by our church tradition are not grounded in a shattering, life-changing experience of Jesus as the Christ, then the chasm between our credal statements and our faith-experience widens and our witness is worthless. The gospel will persuade no one unless it has so convicted us that we are transformed by it - B. Manning

My flesh is weak but my spirit is willing. Jesus thinks I'm beautiful. Knowing Him is eternal life for me. When I die, all I have to take is love.
