God's Goodness...

I am just about to burst with joy. Joy that is just so rich in God! O.k. I have to tell this story before I just blow...You all have read the story below about how we are now living in one of the most precious townhomes in Gainesville, FL. - only by God's unfailing love and grace - that is! Well, just last week as Patrick was riding to campus on his normal bike route through our old stompin' grounds over on 24th Ave (creepy st.), he almost had a heart attack with what he encountered. He said he could hardly stand it to get to a place to stop and phone me. There in the front yard of our old little house stood sticking out of the ground, FOR SALE BY OWNER SIGN! No...I kid you NOT! Now this is just one month after we have moved...and you call this coincidence? I'm sorry but I don't believe in conincidences this is truly the pure HAND OF GOD working in our precious lives. I am not worthy of His grace and goodness...but I will take it! He just rocks my world!! Can you believe that? That God knew before we even had a clue...that He would provide a place for us to move...and be secure because he knew that the owner of that home would put it up for sale! oh....well, here is the sad part...the couple that owns the home is putting it on the market due to a divorce. I am so saddened by this...it just breaks my heart. And I have been on my knees pleading with my Heavenly Father to reach down from the heavenlies and touch this dear family.

I continue to stand in owe of my Father, the one who cares for me more than no other can...my SOLID ROCK! He is the one who foresaw the comings of this...planned our move, and secured us in our new place...because he knew that the little home we inhabited for over 4 years was about to be taken right from underneath us! God is MORE than Good...all the time!

Baseball...what else?

We had a great night watchin' the baseball game (UF vs. North FL).
It was a close game...and in the end we won!

Luke really, really wanted to go and see Albert. Finally, when we did, he became real apprehensive...and as you can see from this picture Luke was leaning as far away from him as he could!

Sports Fanatic

....does that suprise you? Luke just got a hockey stick today...I think he now has every sport you can imagine - well, except Golf...but I don't consider that a real "sport". uh oh....I can already hear those men talkin'! Anyway...here are some great shots from playing baseball with Dad in the grass! Beautiful springtime is here!

UF Lacrosse

Mama and Luke went to our first Lacrosse game...and a very exciting one to say the least! UF played well and was up by 5 during the first half, but in the second half UF won by only one point! Luke loved every moment...and yes, he CAN scoop, and throw the ball! He even had a chance to make his own goal during half time!! GOOOO Gators!!!

Luke's Goal!!

Made it!!

In contemporary Christianity there is an essential difference between belief and faith. Our religious beliefs are the visible expression of our faith, our personal commitment to the person of Jesus. However, if the Christian beliefs inherited from our family and passed on to us by our church tradition are not grounded in a shattering, life-changing experience of Jesus as the Christ, then the chasm between our credal statements and our faith-experience widens and our witness is worthless. The gospel will persuade no one unless it has so convicted us that we are transformed by it - B. Manning

My flesh is weak but my spirit is willing. Jesus thinks I'm beautiful. Knowing Him is eternal life for me. When I die, all I have to take is love.
