Patrick & Jeanne Celebrate Five Years of Marriage

August 7, 2009 my hubby and I celebrated five glorious years in the Lord! We decided to make the day exciting and celebrate by agreeing to surprise each other. We each would have one hour to blindfold the other, take them in the car to a special place, and have a surprise waiting. Well...Patrick surely knocked my socks off!! I went blindfolded into the car for a joyous car ride like none other i had experienced. He went in circles trying to confuse me :) When we "arrived" I found myself standing in our little chapel just like 5 years ago, with a beautiful bouquet of calla lillies. We were re-commiting our vows! There to perform the ceremony was our friends, Denny & Cindy, how precious to share this beautiful event. We took communion with our Lord Jesus Christ and even had a moment to, "kiss the bride!" It was beyond meaningful to me!!

Then it was my turn to blindfold Patrick! I took him to our reception hall where we had our first dance, we danced to it again, and also read some meaningful things I have learned about him within the past five years!!!

We concluded the night with a wonderful meal at Mario's Bistro. Our night was seamless and perfect. All glory to our successful marriage goes to God, who has been our "glue". The Holy Spirit working in our lives is overwhelming to see and experience, what an amazing God we serve!!

The Mohawk Endures...

Luke has been working on his obedience with Mommy, and he now has a "star chart"...when he gets 5 stars, then he is able to choose a prize. This week he was sold on going bowling for the first time!! He loved it!

Luke started to model Mommy's most often behaviors lately...most of them were taking care of Baby Nevan...
Nursing....
Then he decided to get a jump start with teaching Nevan how to catch....

Nevan loves his big brother!

In contemporary Christianity there is an essential difference between belief and faith. Our religious beliefs are the visible expression of our faith, our personal commitment to the person of Jesus. However, if the Christian beliefs inherited from our family and passed on to us by our church tradition are not grounded in a shattering, life-changing experience of Jesus as the Christ, then the chasm between our credal statements and our faith-experience widens and our witness is worthless. The gospel will persuade no one unless it has so convicted us that we are transformed by it - B. Manning

My flesh is weak but my spirit is willing. Jesus thinks I'm beautiful. Knowing Him is eternal life for me. When I die, all I have to take is love.
