Six Month Update!

Luke is six months and growing! During his routine check-up he weighed 19 lbs and measured 28 1/4 inches! Dr. Benton, Luke's Pediatrician was pleased with his health (www.bentonpediatrics.com). Let's just say being tall is an understatement for Luke!! He is almost sleeping through the night...rice cereal is helping somewhat! He has six teeth! Yes...and he is eating lots! Today was the first day he pinched a piece of watermelon and put it in his mouth ALL BY HIMSELF! Patrick and I were starring with amazement! He is unbelievable!! According to his growth track he is doing 8-month old things! Ooooo our little genius! :) I guess Grandma Jude is wearing off on him :) He enjoys going jogging with Mama in his own little jogger, which he usually falls asleep in! He LOVES Tiki....she is actually letting him pet her now! We still monitor the situation, never trust a cat with claws! Luke still has reddish blonde hair and blue eyes....we hope they stay that way, but who knows! He is still wearing 12-18 month clothes...although we do have to buy a new car seat soon! He has grown out of the requirements on the infant car seat! We love him sooo much and are having so much fun watching him grow! I can't believe it's been half a year...already. Now I know what people mean when they say, "They grow up so fast!" Luke will be dedicated to the Lord on Sept. 24th at Grace Church. And NO we will NOT be dressing him up in a dress :)

Sleeping Angel!

.......so peaceful when the prince sleeps!

Luke's Eating!

Luke has started to eat...he enjoys a nightly tradition of rice cereal now! But he also loves avocado, peaches, bananas, mashed potatoes, and much more! He stares at Mommy and Daddy during dinner time...and tries to grab grown-up food. He turns into a little "bird" when he eats :)

Funnies

Luke is doing some of the funniest things! He has discovered our stereo, which he likes to get so close to the lights that he has mastered actually turning on the radio! More importantly, I think he likes biting on the volume knob!

He loves to play UNDER the couch! I think he claims it as his own little fort!

He also enjoys sticking his tongue out...sometimes this is what he thinks of Mommy & Daddy! :)

He also likes to go "toe hunting." It is one of his favorite past-times.

Well....sometimes we deserve these things....since we tried dressing him up like a gypsy once :) He was a good sport about it!

Ohhh the joys of parenting!

In contemporary Christianity there is an essential difference between belief and faith. Our religious beliefs are the visible expression of our faith, our personal commitment to the person of Jesus. However, if the Christian beliefs inherited from our family and passed on to us by our church tradition are not grounded in a shattering, life-changing experience of Jesus as the Christ, then the chasm between our credal statements and our faith-experience widens and our witness is worthless. The gospel will persuade no one unless it has so convicted us that we are transformed by it - B. Manning

My flesh is weak but my spirit is willing. Jesus thinks I'm beautiful. Knowing Him is eternal life for me. When I die, all I have to take is love.
